Principal's Message

Principal’s Welcome

We are looking forward to the 2014-2015 school year.  As a staff, we are excited to welcome all new students to their first year at Pine Hill Middle School (PHMS) as well as invite our former students back to continue their educational progress.  PHMS provides many educational as well as extracurricular experiences for all students.  As the principal and instructional leader of Pine Hill Middle School, my goal is to provide all students with a rewarding and challenging educational experience.  As a staff, we are confident that the opportunities that are provided will promote all students to grow both academically as well as socially.
Parents are encouraged to monitor the academic development of their children through accessing Infinite Campus for grade status and keeping in contact with the instructors at Pine Hill Middle.  It is a must at the middle school level for parents to keep a close relationship with the school and make your presence known at different school events. Parents are encouraged to utilize both the Richmond County Board of Education and Pine Hill Middle School websites using the following internet addresses:
Richmond County School District- www.rcboe.org
Pine Hill Middle School- http://pinehill.rcboe.org/
We are all members of the PHMS team and will work to make your years at Pine Hill successful, educationally challenging, and a time of social growth (building character).  We are excited to have you as a student/parent at PHMS, best of luck to you-we will support and guide you in your pursuit of success. If you have any questions, the staff at Pine Hill Middle is available to serve you.
Thanks,
Glenda Collingsworth
Principal

Announcing the new Cyber Security Pathway

The Richmond and Columbia County School Systems along with local industries worked together to develop the curriculum for the Cyber Security pathway.  Two courses, Introduction to Cyber Security and Advanced Cyber Security, were approved by the State Board of Education for public review.  The review period of 60 days will end in mid-February.

Please review the courses by clicking here and take a moment to give feedback on the Public Review Questionnaire.  Your opinion matters to us!

The Family and Consumer Science Class and Club is collecting Box Tops for Education.  The school gets 10 cents for each box top collected.  Please cut these coupons off of food products and send them to Mrs. LaDow, our Consumer Science Teacher.  Thank you for your support.
